Ruthie ,not all the LR instructors are willing to  tackle memoir.  You don't want to teach something you're not comfortable doing yourself and the manual is all about fiction, so a bit of extra teaching skill is required.    But several of us do.  LR should be able to pair you with an instructor who's comfortable handling memoir.

So, if I decide to take the course later,  it would be a good idea to let the school know my primary objective is a memoir?

when you decide to take it, Ruthie, let them know. Some instructors aren't comfortable with memoir.

Thanks Mary, I'll keep that in mind.

I just replied to an email about my enrolling and let them know I wasn't ready and when I am, my main focus is the memoir.
