It took 31/2 years and I'm excited to say assignment #12is in the mailbox. It feels good to be finished; I'm ready to move forward.

Good for you, Ruthie! And of course, the website is open to you, so stick around and use this as a 'continuing education course'. Mary Rosenblum LR Web Editor

Ruthie that's awesome!
Don't be a stranger. Post a note is probably the most valuable part of the LR website!

Congratulations Ruthie and do post often we'd love to hear from you. So many read but never contribute. Take away those who do take the time to contribute there would be no post a note.

Good for you Ruthie! Did you ever get Assignment 12 back yet? Did your instructor like it?

Nanlisa, I did get my assignment back. My instructor said it was good, but I needed to "show, not tell" in a couple of paragraphs. This doesn't surprise me; I always have difficulty with this concept...even after 12 assignments

Join the club Ruthie! I've been strung up eleven ways from Sunday for telling rather than showing. It seems to be common amongst us novice writers.

Yes, welcome to the club. It's a hard concept to remember. Catch myself all the time. Hope you can stick around and keep us posted on your writing career and help us if we need it.
Congrats,
