Hi David,

In terms of experiences, you don't have to have gone through something yourself to write well about it. Take the time to mentally imagine yourself in that situation. What would you be seeing? Hearing? Smelling? Feeling/touching? Would it be creeping you out or making you feel wonderful? That sort of stuff. Then write that.

I've been amazed how often readers have responded to something I've written about, but never myself experienced, saying they had been through it and I had the experience perfect.

Imagination is a powerful tool!  Wink
