Hello, I am from Manning, Alberta, Canada.  I finished a course from ICL about 10 years ago; now I am back to get serious about my writing. I've browsed the Internet about writing software and have read about quite a few options. Here is an open question I would like to ask: what is the best software you used for your writing? I currently have Open Office - word processor..  I just wonder if there is a particular writing software that would be more useful than just the run of the mill word processor..

Teh only thing I use besides Microsoft word is ywriter5.  It's free, and I think there's a youtube tutorial on the site so you can see what's it's like before you download it.  the positives are that it lets you keep up with lots of info (watch the video to see how).  The only downside is when I copy and paste to word, I have to format everything.  Main thing is it's free and safe to download.

I'm with Brandon. So glad I found yWriter5. Use it and then transfer to Word for formatting and submission.

More and more, I'm switching over completely to Word for writing, but I like to save ideas for future writing in ywriter5.  That way, I can pull up one file with all of my ideas together, but still filed separately how I like them.
